Legal Developments Unveiled: NAB Submits Asset Details in £190 Million Case Involving Imran Khan
The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) made a significant move on Monday by submitting comprehensive asset particulars for six individuals implicated in the £190 million scam case, which includes former Prime Minister Imran Khan. As a result, the court issued permanent arrest warrants for all six suspects, including prominent figures like Farhat Shahzadi, Zulfi Bukhari, Shahzad Akbar, and Zia-ul-Mustafa Nasim.
The proceedings, revolving around Toshakhana and the £190 million references, unfolded within the confines of Adiala Jail, with Accountability Court Judge Muhammad Basheer presiding over the case. While Imran Khan made an appearance in court, Bushra Bibi, citing ill health, was unable to attend, leading the court to grant her an exemption from appearance.
During the hearing, the PTI founder received a copy of the reference, and the next hearing for the case has been adjourned until Tuesday (today).
Following the hearing, PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan addressed the media, highlighting three prior meetings with the founder chairman regarding tickets for the upcoming general elections. However, the last meeting was not permitted, adding another layer of intrigue to the unfolding legal developments.
