The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has issued a weather advisory predicting a series of atmospheric changes across Lahore and various parts of Punjab over the upcoming weekend.
According to the latest synoptic analysis, a robust westerly wave is currently influencing the weather patterns in western Pakistan, with its effects expected to extend over the entire country from the 13th of April until the 15th of April.

Anticipate a combination of rain, wind, thunderstorms, and isolated instances of hailstorms in key regions including Murree, Galyat, Rawalpindi, Attock, Chakwal, Jhelum, Mianwali, Khushab, Sargodha, Noor Purr Thal, Dera Ghazi Khan, Bhakkar, Layyah, Sahiwal, Multan, Bahawalpur, Kot Addu, Rahim Yar Khan, and Rajanpur on Friday evening. Additionally, the forecast includes the possibility of hailstorms at select locations during this period.
Moving into Saturday and Sunday, similar weather conditions are expected to prevail in Murree, Galyat, Rawalpindi, Attock, Chakwal, Jhelum, Mandi Bahauddin, Gujrat, Gujranwala, Hafizabad, Sialkot, Narowal, Lahore, Kasur, Okara, Faisalabad, Toba Tek Singh, Jhang, Khushab, Sargodha, Mianwali, Dera Ghazi Khan, Rajanpur, Bhakkar, Leh, Multan, Pakpattan, Sahiwal, Kot Addu, Muzaffargarh, Rahim Yar Khan, Sadiqabad, Khanpur, Bahawalpur, and Bahawalnagar. It is important to note that heavy rainfall and hailstorms are also expected to occur sporadically during this forecast period.
In terms of temperatures, Lahore is forecasted to experience maximum temperatures ranging between 34-36 degrees Celsius on Saturday, with a slight decrease to 32-34 degrees Celsius on Sunday.
Meanwhile, dry weather conditions have persisted in the port city and most parts of the province over the past 24 hours. Notably, Bahawalpur registered the highest temperature in the region at 39 degrees Celsius. During the evening hours, relative humidity levels were recorded at 23% in Bahawalpur and 24% in Lahore.
